The Consortium
Establishment
On 17 July 2024, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests officially recognized the Canicattì Table Grape Protection Consortium pursuant to Article 14 of Law No. 526 of 21 December 1999, through Ministerial Decree No. 319078 of 17/07/2024.
The newly established Consortium represents approximately 98% of the entire certified production and carries out activities of valorisation, promotion, monitoring, protection and overall safeguarding of the designation.
Mission
The primary shared objective among all members is to operate with strong social responsibility, an essential pillar of sustainable development. To this, we add passion, dedication and determination — the vital foundations behind the success of any designation of origin.
Canicattì PGI Table Grapes are identified not only by their physical and organoleptic traits, but also by the official logo of the denomination.
Another key visual element that distinguishes the authentic Canicattì PGI Table Grapes is the security seal, used both on packaging and as a small label applied to the stems of the bunches sold as loose product.
